“Damages” (feat. Ksenia Berestovskaya) Available for Download!
Hey all! We’ve released our 1st single “Damages” with 100% the proceeds going to the Community Coalition Against Human Trafficking (CCAHT). The coalition is very much involved with raising awareness of trafficking within the community and working with the trafficking victims in East Tennessee; We’re all very excited about bringing attention to this social issue and to helping out the organization in fighting these crimes.
We’ve got the whole line-up here, as well; Johnny Newman (guitars/voice-overs), Steve DiGiorgio (bass), Yanic Bercier (drums) and introducing our amazing guest vocalist, Ms. Ksenia Berestovskaya !

Endorsement with WaveTransform Recording Studio
I think you all will be very happy to hear that I’ve signed an endorsement deal with Yanic Bercier of WaveTransform Recording Studio! We’ve had a blast recording “More Than Ever,” and mixing the album. We’ve enjoyed it so much, we thought we’d not only continue to do so, but make it official as well! Analysis Time! (attn: Music Theorists)
I’ve been composing this section of music (yes..for a follow-up to More Than Ever), and in writing it.. I decided to write out the harmonic structure horizontally based on what I composed from the guitar to get a better grasp on what was actually happening.
I made a fantastic music theory dork discovery!

The major third of each 1st chord in each section is the 1st chord of the following section
ex. ( E -> G#/Ab -> C -> E )
Coincidentally, the 2nd chord of each section is the dominant of the 1st chord in the following section, not only giving the sections power movement by major thirds, but also by secondary dominant from section to section in addition to the obvious powerful minor 2nd movement within each section. Once realizing this..I realized why the portion of my composition was so functional.

Steve DiGiorgio Confirmed for Johnny Newman album
Steve DiGiorgio (Testament, Death, Iced Earth, Futures End) has been confirmed as the bassist for the Johnny Newman album “More Than Ever” He flew into Knoxville this past Saturday and over the course of just a few days..he recorded all his bass parts for the album at WaveTransform Recording Studio in Knoxville, TN. This is some of the most virtuosic-crazy-slappin’-chromatically-thumpin‘ fretless bass playing you’ll ever hear! Steve is an amazing, funny, and humble musician. You couldn’t ask for a better person to work with. We all had a blast hanging out in the studio and really enjoyed the abundance of musicianship flowing out of that room. The album is currently being mixed by Yanic Bercier and is expected to be released this July.

Hey all; Sorry for the lack of updates; we’ve been in the studio with our bassist for the “More Than Ever” album. We’re on day 4 of bass recording and we’ll finish either today or tomorrow. BUT, you all are in for a real treat.. We’ve got the best on this album and there are some things musically that will leave you simply…speechless. More Announcements Soon!!!
